For this week’s newsletter I’d planned to feature Rohat Teahouse, star of Rudaki Avenue in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, which stands tall as other Soviet-era landmarks are flattened around it. But given the news in Russia, I decided to take a different angle. We will stop for tea at Rohat another time.
