This week’s photograph comes from the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, and it captures a fabulous statue. The bronze portrays Manas holding a sword and riding a horse. You can just see the scaly tail, too, of a dragon: the hero’s guardian whilst on military campaigns.
